Why is a basement floor different from a garage floor?
A garage slab usually sits at or above grade, stays relatively warm, and dries out between uses. A basement slab is the opposite. It sits below grade on cooler soil, close to the water table, and in many older Kenosha homes that ground stays damp through much of the year.
